Lead Teacher

Southern Pines Academy is a 3-star rated child developmental center providing full-time care for children 4 months to 5 years of age. We focus on enhancing social-emotional skills and seeing conflict as learning opportunities to teach missing skills.

We are searching for one lead teacher for our pre-k classroom, working with children 3-5 years old.

Duties

• Creating weekly developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Following and implementing lesson plans.
• Creating nature-based activities Participating in Farm to ECE garden and other agricultural activities. Properly interacting with children.
• Supervising children.
• Willing to learn current childcare techniques as appropriate.
• Maintaining classroom appearance and organization.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree North Carolina state qualification letter and background check.
